Individual therapy at MVZ Köln für Psychotherapie GmbH
If you have decided on psychotherapy as individual therapy, after an initial consultation and probatory sessions at the beginning, sessions usually take place once a week. In the final stage of an individual therapy, the frequency of the sessions can be further apart and thus adapted to your treatment needs.
♦ one hour of treatment takes 50 minutes
♦ short-term treatment usually includes up to 25 hours of treatment
♦ long-term treatment behavior therapy up to 80, depth psychology up to 100 and analysis far beyond
Your treatment needs are described by the therapist in the form of an expert opinion. The health insurance company’s appraiser approves the individual therapy accordingly, if other criteria of the health insurance companies are also met.

Individual therapies can be very short, i.e. up to 25 hours, or significantly longer if they last up to 100 hours or more. When do I need a short treatment and when a longer one? This depends on the question and the depth of the problems. If it is only a focal conflict that is relatively manageable and does not affect other areas of life, a short therapy may be sufficient. However, if it turns out in the course of therapy that other areas of life are affected after all, it may take considerably longer. For example, in the beginning it may be a matter of overcoming and processing a separation. Once this has happened and the desire for a new partnership arises, this desire can be experienced as conflicting. It is possible that the person concerned feels fear of finding the right partner or even a partner at all. If psychotherapy continues to work on this topic and one looks at the internalized patterns of this person, a lot can be worked on here. With the help of psychotherapy it is possible to live in a good partnership and to be happier in private. This is what I report from many experiences that I have gained in long psychotherapies.
